Skye Cuillin Ridge

The Cuilllin Ridge on Skye is the UK’s most challenging mountain range. The main ridge holds 11 Munros and is home to some of the most sensational scrambling and climbing in the country. We offer a range of Cuillin Ridge Guiding options from individual days on one or more of the Munros (such as the Inaccessible Pinnacle) to Private Guiding on some of the classic climbs such as Pinnacle Ridge or the Clach Glas to Blaven traverse.

The prize for most mountaineers is the formidable Cuillin Ridge Traverse- the finest mountaineering challenge in the British Isles…

A note about the Skye Cuillin

For those who haven’t been on the Cuillin before, this amazing mountain range is unlike anything else found in the UK. The technical and exposed nature of the ground means the hazard of loose rock is much more pronounced on the Cuillin and a simple slip or lack of concentration may have dire consequences. You should be in good physical and mental shape before heading onto the ridge as days are hard, long and serious. There are no guarantees to achieve any specific objectives on the Cuillin- a combination of the weather, how well our clients are moving and the specific terrain in front of us are all factors that we have to consider when assessing the risk to our groups on the ridge. We’ll do everything we can to help you achieve your goals, but keeping you safe is our top priority (as well as having a lot of fun along the way!).
